At Coastlines we are aware of the huge impact the surf industry is having on our planet. We believe in transparency and acknowledge that we are not perfect. Sustainability is an inbuilt mindset and is at the core of our design. Whether our impact is smaller ripples or larger waves, our goal is to contribute to the flow of change.

Compostable Poly Bags

We have changed all common, single-use packaging types to compostable or biodegradable alternatives. This means you can safely throw away your packaging without a worry.

Biodegradable Mailers

Any wetsuit sold from our website will be packaged safely in a compostable bag which will do the planet and your wetsuit some good.  Once you've received it you can put the bag in your compost, taking 3-6 months to biodegrade, if not there's no harm in putting it in your rubbish bin.

Tags

Currently, our tags are made from industry standard materials, but we believe we can do better. The next stage is to source papers from FSC certified sustainable forests and print using environmentally friendly soy-based ink. This is an effort to make the recycling process more sustainable and ethical.

Dead Stock Sleeves

We want to minimise the waste our production creates, so using our offcuts we’ve created Dead Stock Sleeves. These also have the benefit of extending the seasonal use of your suit. To learn more, click here.

The Give Back

We are continually developing and to do that we need your help. After you are finished with your suit, whether it is faulty or not, we want you to send it back. This helps us to see if it has gone the distance, and assess whether there is anything we can do to improve it. Once we are finished assessing the state of your suit, we are going to repurpose the neoprene giving it a second life.
